Hey guys at MNC's... Let me ask u one question..! are u all really happy wit wat is been credited into yo account every month...??? I don think money alone can fetch u happiness... U would ve bought a brand new Honda city when u r 30 which yo dad couldn ve done.... but did u notice the fact.., Yo dad was able to spend time wit you.. Do u spend with yo kid or wit any of yo family members......???
I happened to receive a call from a Chartered accountant who is now in an MNC in a good position... I was too surprised to receive him telling that he works till 3am everyday and then from 10am for the next day... It was too pathetic to hear.. but the most distressing aspect is he still receive a puzzled sneers from his bosses for making into office by 10am the same day... Disgusting.. Are we all slave??? how many of us works for India..??? A friend was telling about his work.., He says he sits in India and work for Italy , the other one for LATM.. I am yearning to hear someone saying I work for India.....
I am much worried about the so called Flexi time... Not sure where we r all gonna step if it goes so... We are happy in telling about our late wake up... We often forget the fact about when we reach home and when do we sleep... Then it ll never be a statement... We miss many things because of this... Do we read newspapers with hot coffee in the morning, do we go for buying milk pockets (A small chill walk as well), Do we sit and chat wit ppl at home, do we hear to good songs in FM..???? nope... We all delude ourselves of being happy.... Are we really???
When is the person at home (Mom or Wife) sleeps at home..??? They wait for us to reach home and by the time they sleep , til is 12... I saw this wit many families... Is it fair to make them wait like this..!!!??? Why do we need flex timing now as everything is made ease because of online.. We pay all utility bills online including the electricity bill with 2% charge for online payment.. the phone bills and wat not... Atleast in the previous generation , they didn have them all , this would ve helped them.. Why for us...???? Don actually understands things???!! Am clueless...

ReplyDeleteTrue one can very well relate to the situatn described herein. I also have a friend whose situation is similar to that of the poor chap described in this piece.
ReplyDeleteBut I do get a feel that actual problem is not flexi time per se but long working hours. In a lot of companies, the culture is to reward those who work long hours and it is this skewed incentive system we need to address.
